Basic Question Structure

There are 3 basic types of question

Yes/No Questions / Question Word Questions / Choice Questions

:The basic structure of a question in English is very simple

Yes/No Questions

auxiliary verb + subject + main verb

For the verb be in simple present and simple past, we do not use an auxiliary verb. We simply reverse the positions of be and subject

Answer Yes or No		main verb	subject	auxiliary verb

When who is subject there is normally no auxiliary verb in past simple and present simple*
